While performed in a dreamy, lo fi space, Lofi Legs’ music is subtly complex, linking post-punk, surf-rock, and psych-pop forms all in a nonchalant way. By keeping things loose, their debut full-length Lamb breathes and sounds more personal, putting a chilled haze over their studied, power-pop songwriting. Even when upping their shoegaze density, Lofi Legs still swing, recalling 60s rock when boiled down to its purest form. A sophomore record is due sometime in 2022, so look for their SXSW set to feature new tracks that still sound like they’re pulled from dusty vinyl found in the psychedelic bin. (Kevin McStravick)
