Launder lives on the warmer sides of shoegaze rock, leaning on slowcore patience to construct his reverb-driven sound. The California artist followed up his minor, moody debut EP Pink Cloud with a couple singles in 2019, “Powder” and bubbling rock ballad “Chew”. Both are expansions on Launder’s soundscapes, whispered and contemplative tracks that wash comfortably within wall-of-sound amplifiers. (Kevin McStravick)
