Rich and textured, Zach Winters takes an acoustic folk setting and adds drama to it, whether through bluesy, gospel inflections (“Ain’t No Grave”), breezy pop/rock (“Give Thanks”), or dreamy R&B (“Skin”). Winters has a sweet, emotive vocal that matches the smooth soul that emits from his music, an artist that consistently weaves little tales with a personal touch. The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based artist had a busy 2019 releasing both an EP Any Other Night and most-recent full-length Love Is A Garden, though his music is so consistent that pouring through Winters’ back catalogue is relatively indistinguishable from his recent output, but there is a bit more oomph in his most recent tracks that give more depth to his rock-solid songwriting.
