The Swedish twin sisters of 7ebra meld a confident mix of bedroom pop and alt rock on their two debut singles “If I Ask Her” and memorable kiss-off “I Have A Lot To Say”. Minimal yet as full as it needs to be, 7ebra’s performance is surprisingly passionate given their melancholy demeanor, even taking time for a thirty-second synth-rock freakout to close out their latest single. With just five minutes of music to gauge 7ebra so far, their potential is apparent right away and shows that there are unique paths the duo can take amongst a crowded field of similarly appealing bands. 7ebra’s debut album is due sometime this year, a setup for SXSW to be a perfect US introduction.
