Electronic producer Cloudchord looks to mine a unique genre for inspiration on his latest EP Daybreak, a collection inspired by spaghetti western music aided by the slightest chill-out beats. It’s impressive the reverence and patience that Cloudchord shows on Daybreak, letting slide guitar melodies cry out alongside atmospheric waves of sound. Fully instrumental, Cloudchord facilitates dreamy patterns and throwback vibes on this successful one-off. The rest of Cloudchord’s catalog has him taking on jazz, trip hop, and jamband-centered electronica also to strong results, subtly crafting grooves that can appeal to both guitar and electronic heads alike.
