You had me at Philadelphia soul/funk band. SNACKTIME is a fun, rambunctious collective full of horn grooves, thick bass runs, and classic funk repetition, the kind of unit that gives life through accessible melodies bouncing off the stage. Classic, big-band recordings capture the SNACKTIME sound, one that sounds live even when put to wax. These jams are loads of fun whether locked into taut, syncopated passages, or freely exploring alongside classic jazz musicians. As a Philly guy myself, much respect to SNACKTIME’s commitment to the town’s culture and sports passions that bleed into their accessible, jazz-led tracks. (Kevin McStravick)
