Alexander Biggs’ music has a nice sense of distance, whether it’s in his whispery vocal lines or his touch for rough-around-the-edges production of acoustic guitar chords and ever-so-slight percussion. The Australian indie folk artist is traveling to SXSW from Melbourne on the back of a couple EPs and recent singles “Miserable” and “Madeleine”. The latter stands as Biggs’ strongest track yet, accompanied by little atmospherics and a cleaner presentation that really makes his transparent, raw songwriting stand out. (Kevin McStravick)
