For many at SXSW, their music quest is for something new, exploring artists from all corners of the globe to freshly rattle their eardrums. Enter Alina Pash, an emerging Ukranian artist that stretches the concept of fusion beyond a genre or two or ten. Eastern and Western rhythms and melodies intermingle in a cacophony of sound, from spaced out atmospherics to intense industrial rhythms. Her wildly ambitious debut Pintea, a pair of full LPs, is a tripped out collection that challenges with infectious vigor.
