Alternative R&B artist Caiine has hit a smooth stride on a string of 2019 singles, exploring trip hop landscapes and electronic pop melodies within her emotive and personal sound. Moving between ambient grooves and funkier rhythms, Caiine mostly keeps her mood chill and contemplative, nicely avoiding out pop-R&B forms even though her music builds an easy path to that lane. The emerging UK artist is able to keep her music mostly pared back since focus moves around Caiine rich, low register vocal, one that has an erogenous quality and strikes a naturally mysterious tone.
