LA singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson nicely balances classic folk and emotive bedroom pop in his lonely acoustic sound, recently highlighted with single “Northsiders”, the first from an upcoming record produced by collaborator Phoebe Bridgers. Rawly sung with a soft and resonate tone, “Northsiders” is a beautifully written track of building melodies amid reflections of Hutson’s past. Romantic and regretful, Hutson’s music hits heartstrings with a whisper, but stay for the subtle, lush strings and ghostly production elements that round out this exciting reintroduction.
