Luke De-Sciscio - “I’m a Dream Fighting Out of a Man”

SXSW 2020 - OEB Score: 7; Popularity Index: 2

Pairs Well With…Iron & Wine, Bright Eyes, Gregory Alan Isakov

Minimal indie folk artist Luke De-Sciscio often arms himself with just an acoustic guitar and his voice, but the UK artist’s top-notch songwriting gives his songs consistent resonance and heart. Loosely crooning over gentle finger-picked melodies, De-Sciscio performs like a traditional folk artist, inflecting notes to their deepest and sweetest tones. His music, covered over a trio of EPs and recent singles “R.O.B.Y.N.” and moving scribe “I’m a Dream Fighting Out of a Man”, has evolved in clarity and purpose, but there is still a ghostly haze that hangs over his music to a nice hint of mystery to the quietly affecting artist.
