Emerging pop artist Maude Latour shares a sound both warm and catchy on her debut EP Starsick, big songs that still manage to keep some indie pop comfort throughout. While tight and hook driven, Latour’s music keeps a relatively slow meter throughout, letting her sweetened electronic pop sound breathe. It gives her music a sense of lovelorn tenderness, but Latour is careful to not let dense emotions take over her music, finding little threads of indie dance pop on tracks like “Superfruit” and “Ride My Bike”.
