Silver Synthetic is an exciting new quartet from New Orleans specializing in dreamy psychedelic rock, leveraging 70s-style songwriting but adding some chillwave atmospherics to give their debut singles “In the Beginning” and “Chasm Killer” some modernized haziness. Patient in their approach but inherently tight as a unit, Silver Synthetic are able to explore without ever falling off course, dipping into guitar solos between verses while still keeping a tasteful, relatively breezy sound throughout. That relaxed confidence is unique especially given these are the first two track from Silver Synthetic, finding a nostalgic groove as both tracks are informed by Americana and swampy, Southern rock influences.
