Southern rock revivalists The Delta Bombers aren’t just big bluesy guitar riffs and gritty vocals, though there is a fair share of that, but they are also a band that stretches into rockabilly, alt country, garage, and classic rock and roll over their decade-long career. Since their 2018 full-length Pressure and Time, The Delta Bombers have released a trio of double-sided singles that nicely show the different sides of the Las Vegas quartet, the latest being skiffle ramble “This is the Night” paired with the tender acoustic ballad “Bottom of the Pack”, a beautiful love song that’s a hidden highlight of the rocker’s gritty, bluesy catalog. Overall, The Delta Bombers sound authentic and committed, a great combo for a throwback-jammed live set at SXSW. (Kevin McStravick)
