Classic psychedelic rock meets chillwave atmosphere on  Tagua Tagua’s 2020 debut Inteiro Metade, the Brazilian band’s tight and funky introduction. A dreamy record that also grooves, Tagua Tagua have a nice touch for guitar and synth melodies that act as flourishes over their locked-in rhythm section. It’s the kind of pocket that you could stay in forever and a place where Tagua Tagua rarely sound repetitive. Like the best funk musicians, Tagua Tagua keep their music moving and changing subtly, jam-ready and danceable with grace rather than fury. (Kevin McStravick)
