Power pop, alt rock, and pop punk meet in VALERAS’ energized music, tight and driving with dense vision. After a string of introductory singles, the UK quartet released their debut EP Tell Me How in 2021 and it’s a powerful four songs of radio-ready singles. Throwing back to 80s and 90s rock, VALERAS use big hooks on both chorus and verse. Their committed sound is instantly rewarding - VALERAS don’t waste any notes on superfluous exploration throughout their emerging catalog. Punchy and performed with synth-rock shine, Tell Me How is a statement of a band ready for bigger stages and SXSW could provide a nice springboard for the promising VALERAS. (Kevin McStravick)
