SXSW locals and regular showcasers Moving Panoramas evolved their sound nicely on 2019 sophomore album In Two, expanding their shoegaze pop genre with dreamy synths and sunny alt rock playing casually against each other. Their ability to meld a sound both driving and floating is impressive, nailing mid-tempo rock modes with a making-it-sound-easy togetherness. Moving Panoramas’ songwriting is tighter and more consistent on In Two, a record that feels like a single statement of beachy indie pop in lieu of a scattered collection of singles. (Kevin McStravick)
